On Saturday the 2nd February 2008 the Scouts gathered to set off for a day out in London. The following account of how they got on has been written by Patrol Leader of Wolf Patrol, Jack Miller.
“We all met at Sittingbourne train station at 7.50am to get the eight o’clock train. We had an hour journey to London Victoria. Then we got the Underground to South Kensington. We arrived at the Science Museum at 9.40am but we found out it didn’t open till ten. So we went on a walk to the shops. After the shops we went back and saw it was open. So we had to go trhough security. After Gary (Scout Leader) told us to go round in pairs. The science Museum was great.
Later we had lunch. After Lunch we wnt into our patrols (Stag and Wolf) Gary went with Stag Patrol and Martin (Assistant Scout Leader) with Wolf. We had been set some tasks; like get your leader a free drink at the Salvation Army in London, which was on Oxford Street.
We all met up at Victoria to set home. We were very tired and we had a great day.”
