Christmas decorations

December 14, 2007

This Wednesday was or Group’s last Cub and Scout meeting for 2007 and we closed for our Christmas break. It has been a momentous year in many ways. Firstly (no pun intended) We, the 1st Sittingbourne (SA) Scout Group were reformed after a gap of almost forty years.

Secondly it has been the centenary of Scouting worldwide, we have joined in with these celebrations and had some great experiences as a group and joining with others.

So it’s been a busy, but exciting year and we look forward to more of the same as we approach our first anniversary next March!

Both sections turned their hand to traditional Christmas decorations. Brian our parent helper took them through it. using logs with the bases flattened decorated with candles, fir cones, fake snow, gliter silver and gold paint they looked fantatstic, very simple and effective decorations which will grace some of the tables in Sittingbourne this year. You can see some of the handiwork by clicking on this link to take you to the photo’s
